Almost made it!

Last night I wanted to have a OBE so I tried a few techniques I read about from Robert monroes book journeys out of body(or something like that) and nothing was working so I asked my higher self or spirit guides to please help me because I really really wanted to have an OBE and suddenly out of nowhere I got the thought to mentally fly upwards and so at the start of the upwards flight I am pretty sure that I was imagining it because it wasn't very vivid when suddenly it was like there was a snap and I was no longer in my bed I was flying upward with clouds rushing past towards a giant ball of light which was flying horizontally above me and I knew that I needed to reach that ball of light to induce an OBE so I started increasing my speed and I could feel the turbulence as I flew up and this turbulence started to become intense vibrations and I could see a brilliant white light creeping down over the insides of my eyelids at the same time I felt like I was expanding from my heart and stomach getting lighter and feeling colder all this was happening and I barely noticed it because the speed I was going was so exilerating that it overwhelmed me and I just felt this intense joy and I was still increasing my speed it was so fast that I couldn't even see the clouds anymore just a white blur and what is so incredible was that I was still increasing in speed towards this ball of light. So I was about to reach the ball of light it was just a few yards in front and above me when I suddenly had no upward momentum and this ball of light passed overhead and I started falling. The vibrations faded away the white light on the insides of my eyelid started to disappear and I started to contract lost the sense of coolness and became increasingly heavier. At that moment I opened my eyes and was back in my bed and everything was back to normal. I got the feeling that something stopped me from reaching the ball of light and I don't know if it was benevolent or malevolent but I do know it stopped me.

Sorry for the sloppy way this post is written but I am very tired. Also the experience had a sense of wonder to it that I can't articulate into words and it proved that there is something beyond this physical form. What I mean is that I have always believed that there was something more but I had never experienced anything to prove that idea. I have had some things happen in meditation or when i am really tired but those things could have been my imagination but his was most definitely not my imagination. And hopefully  I can start communicating with my guides or higher self more often.
