generalities? Labeling individuals with generalities is not what I have done. It's not in me to do such a thing. In beginning to understand the archetypical nature of astrology, we must start with a general idea of what we are looking at. Mercury retrograde and it's communication challenges has become a buzz word that greatly reduces Mercury to a singular dimension. Mercury is certainly much more than that. So be it that you, Transiten, enjoy fixating on it, I wouldn't go out of my way to deminish what you find relevant.

Scorpio. There's a other sun sign I'm am being forced to learn. I know, it is the most daring thing to say out loud that I take issues with Scorpio.
I am an Aries sun sign with a Scorpio ascendant. Pluto and Mars belong to me! Moo wha ha haha. That was a joke. But, seriously, the Aries in me doesn't like that I have to share Mars with Scorpio even after Pluto is discovered. I mean come on! Anteres (anti- Aries) is the brightest star in the center of Scorpio. :-) I poke fun. Anteres is supposedly anti-the color of Mars.
What have I learned about Scorpio? For awhile I wanted to believe Scorpio was the true opposite of Aries, and not Libra. Scorpio is feminine night force while Aries is masculine day force. What is more opposite? This line of questioning eventually brought me to conclude how similar these two really are.
Few, if any, ever see the true inner Scorpio. They are water, and they reside at the deepest level of the ocean. Many books tell us that scorpios are the clowns, always sarcastic, never saying what's on their minds, instead every thought is a mask. This sign of the deep is only recognized by the bubbles it sends to the surface. Bubbles that tAke your eyes away from the source. With the deep water as their playground, it is their territory if you ever get to visit. If you are a friend, the thrill can be exhilirating. If an enemy, drawing you to the deep darkness renders you easy prey; you will never see it coming, literally, and you may never even realize the blow came from them.
How is this anything like Aries? I asked myself. We are both warriors of a different discipline. Aries = Mars. Fight for the joy of fighting. Challenges and confrontations are a place of comfort. Like Scorpio, you can be sure that Aries is relentless in "battle". Not stubborn by definition, but headstrong. Once an Aries makes a decision, all determination goes for it, walls in the way or anything else.
Here is the difference and the similarity simultaneous. Excellent warriors in their own element. Between the two, an Aries will demand Scorpio to come out into the bright sunlight for all to see and expose ourselves in this battle. Scorpio won't, and they will challenge Aries to come into the deep where they will have the strength. Scorpio will wait, and they won't forget- maybe they forget consciously but unconscious programming remains. They will attack in any vulnerable area to "win". An Aries hasn't the patience nor the cunning. Aries is fine with everyone watching. Scorpio doesn't want anyone to see.
The positives of Scorpio are deep emotional involvement. If they offer help, they take on the full load with the person they are showing love to. The FULL load. It's part of the reason for the masks, if they took on everyones burdens, as is their nature, the load would be too heavy to bear. They are ones that need frequent recharging in solitude.
