Almost all of those types of materials are processed/grown in China and Japan (and other pacific Rim countries) and shipped to the US and Europe for manufacturing and packaging into the pills and powders on the retail shelves.
I worry less about a cloud radioactive particles drifting to the states. I'd worry more about contamination of the food chain. Most people just have no idea just how much stuff (food, herbals, medicines, vitamins etc..) comes from China & other Pacific Rim countries. Its absolutely staggering.
There are domestic sources, so if you are going to use chlorella or iother algae sources? Do your homework, source domestic or European.
