The social memory complex shares thoughts but they are still a multitude, just like an individual is a multitude. Everyone is made from components. Humans are made from the combination of mind, body, and spirit, and Ra is made from the combination of many minds, many bodies, many spirits.
The components still have uniqueness and individuality. The mind is different from the body, has a different focus, and different goals. The spirit has unique desires that are not shared by the body. But they all live together and work it out. Just like humans are seen as one big organism by Ra.
