Lovely excerpt. What resonated with me was this: Each and every day, I see also the 'game' around me: cleaning, going to work, etc. I'm a participant. I wonder, many times throughout the day: What if I don't want to play the game? Or, can I make up my own rules to MY game?
Child-like reminds me of a child following its bliss with loving curiosity, learning about the world with fresh eyes and senses. Playing and exploring and of course, learning and observing 'the rules of the game.'
Preoccupied with the game, it is rare for my child-like portion to come out and explore the world. But ... she wants to come out! ... and make up her own rules.
