I laughed at the obsession of the clean sinks creating such strife... I am totally in line with that too, lol.
I really wonder if not the majority of posters here didn't go through a monastic incarnation because the issue with horrific sinks is definitely a thing tackled in monastic life, lol. I always find great meditative joy in cleaning floors on my knees, there's a lot of nice things in buddhism for sure....
So to me, Vestige, you are most probably a past monk or nun, lol. So please enjoy your epicurean present life !!
Thank you for all your sharing
Monks grumbling praying over sinks - I can definitely imagine that!
Funnily enough, when we had our work aptitude day at my high school, I was adamant that I wanted to be a traveling monk. I do find the 'zen' in many things, especially cleaning. And there are several saints I really admire, like Thérèse of Lisieux.
My 'astrological birth chart' had apparently shown "religious leader" and "healer" past lives, so perhaps you're right. However, now, I certainly enjoy more being a 'monk with no order,' just some guy loving the Creator.
