When it isn't convenient - I feel a little bad about it, but after reading Yogananda's response to this question, he more or less said squash the mosquito, I feel better about it.
I was a little surprised to his answer as he's so peaceful an example of enlightenment in incarnation to me.
His answer was they are a lower life form that cause hardship, give them the opportunity to come back as something better. A little blessing then splat! If I have to choose between them and healthy 3rd density consciousness experience it's an easy choice.
If you feel bad about it, I recommend you rethink your actions. I wouldn't follow what anyone else said—Yogananda or Ra or any other entity. Do what YOU think is right for your own reasons.
What Yogananda said is bullsh*t if you ask me (and I respect some of his writings). You could say the same thing about a mentally challenged or physically handicapped human—kill them so they have the chance to come back as something better.
