I have been doing Om for quite a while now just with the intention of allowing more direction to flow from higher self to me. This has worked well I feel and it has been a time of progress. The intention point you make I take it on board. I do in fact have an image that has come to me in different ways over the years, I drawn a bit and it is often been a subject but has not been developed as much as I feel I should. Anyway I will use it as my image in meditation and see what happens ☺️
This is going to be a slightly oblique response to your request for examples of electrifying images. It's a question I had, too, when I first began studying this material, and I spent some time searching for these kinds of examples, before realizing that I was operating under a slight misapprehension, which was that there is a kind of objectivity in the metaphysical realms that would make it possible to quantify efficacy, but intention is actually the driving force in time/space. There are images that are powerful, to be sure, but they are powerful because they have been built-up over time by different cultures and seekers. I ended up feeling that these forms, although beautiful and helpful in their own right, don't always appeal to a Wanderer's sensibilities, since you would also be connecting to the energies and intentions of the builders. I opted for silent meditation instead and did not feel that I had lost anything. That was my experience.
I also had a lot of underlying anxiety when I was seeking information about self-healing. I assumed it would be complicated or difficult.
What I've since learned is that the most difficult part about self-healing is to keep up a daily meditative practice that resonates with you and a mostly unfaltering intention to heal. The importance of intention can't be understated. If the intention is there, the right sources and influences will come to you. In fact, the real concern, viewed from a metaphysical perspective, is not that you won't get what you'll ask for, but that you will. It can be possible to draw too much power from healing sources that can't be fully integrated, if the will is forceful and the person is not paying full attention to their experience.
In short, if you find an image that inspires you and work with it regularly, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
