The indigo ray can be opened to varying degrees and it does not require the lower centers to be completely balanced or crystallized.
There are two basic ways to clear blockages. You can examine your own biases and beliefs and emotions as regards to the realms in which each ray operates. Ex. red ray survival, orange is self & family, yellow is interaction with other selves and society, green love and understanding, blue communication, and indigo sacrament. Then balance your distortions thru accepting yourself and those emotions and desires. Or you can direct your awareness into the energy center directly and attempt to clear the blockage thru direct work, which will bring up the emotions, images, desires, and distortions which are causing the blockage.
A more natural method is to keep meditating and those blockages will slowly be elucidated so they can be accepted and integrated.
