Jesus teleported into his disciples' house after his resurrection and said to Thomas: "put your finger here" to show him that Jesus had a solid physical body. It seems that Jesus even shapeshifted his body since at some place(s) in the Bible people didn't recognize him.
Yes - so having a body is a choice - when there is a sense for it.
At this space / time / density it is a needful instrument for learning.
But i can imagine that this could be different in higher densities.
There are extended stories of teleportation in the books from Baird T. Spalding.
So having a human body is the choice of Jehoshua and others to help the human beings on earth.
Understanding the LOO in a deep way seems to enable to make whatever you want with the matter of your body.
