True. And yet if one wishes to open one's consciousness to the roots of mind and the body and the spirit, this cannot be done with the intellect and the five outward-facing senses. It could be said that what we call psychic ability is a more sensitive, inward-facing awareness of self. One little bugaboo there, however, is that the degree to which self-deception and like distortions can influence one's judgment is far, far greater when perceiving with extended sensitivity compared to when using the more familiar five senses and the intellect. One other problem is that you may find you seriously dislike some of what you find within yourself.
Caveat emptor, I suppose.
