Note: Normally crystals would not need more than a few minutes time to charge in the sun. Mine needed the extra boost this one time to energize things. Some stones, even ones that don't fade, can become more brittle with too much sun and heat. Mine were fine this time, the real ones anyway. Found out the amber was "young amber", not completely the real thing and it was damaged. Oh well.
One solar stone as underrated as pyrite and just as powerful, but different and less well known, is Sulphur quartz. This is an intense stone for solar energy and cleansing, and much more. Alchemically, Sulphur is one of the three major elements alongside salt and mercury. Pure Sulphur crystals are beautiful, collectible, and powerful in their own right, but there are some things that make them annoying to work with. Their softness, brittleness, fragility, smell and unhealthy residue they leave on hands. Not good if you want something to rub or carry in your pocket. Lightly hold while meditating and then wash your hands with pure Sulphur is about it. Sulphur in quartz gives the durability of quartz with no smell and residue, plus the powers of quartz and Sulphur together.
