So, one can portend that the average human is consciously aware of three of these densities -- physical / material, mind, and spirit? Is that correct?

These concepts are not easy. The first thing to note is that our physical body is not the body in mind/body/spirit complex. This is only while incarnated in veiled 3d. I believe the mechanism that creates this veil is exactly this, having two bodies to experience 3d. The body in our mind/body/spirit complex is our 3d body but it only experiences space/time by interfacing with a 2d body (our physical body).

These three components mind/body/spirit are not directly related to the densities. 1st and 2nd density entities are mind/body complexes and from 3d to 7d it becomes mind/body/spirit complexes because at the end of 2d the entity attracts to itself the spirit. I believe this attraction actually works in reverse, it's the consciousness of the One that becomes interested in that mind/body complex and so the channel forms and the spirit descends into the 2d entity thus ennobling it with self-awareness. This notice of the 2d entity seems to be helped quite a lot by us 3d entities taking notice of said 2d entity.

Is it possible that one can become consciously aware of these other densities? Or is that impossible in our current form? Is it something only available to those who are the ascended Masters? What about the current cosmic upgrades we are all receiving?

One can have awareness of these other levels of existence while in the human form, but how easily can one consciously break into these planes? Or is it something that can only be reached through much discipline and practice?

It's quite possible, but in most cases that is not the point of coming here. We come in this illusion of separation to accomplish work that only has value to us while we can't be sure of anything and thus must make a leap of Faith. That leap of Faith is what has value to the whole self and cannot be done if you are truly aware of the higher-densities.

Once you have done that leap of faith though, then the veil starts to thin because it's less needed from then on.

Many here can help with how to experience the higher-densities without dying. It's not something that is of interest to me. I still have many things to do while under the spell of this illusion.

Also -- sidenote -- that old thread of you linked is from 2012! Wow, I can't imagine what it would be like being awakened for so long, waiting for that jump to 4D/5D, watching the pains of the world continue to unfold. Talk about a lesson in patience and being present. I was surprised at how many members in that thread are no longer active. I wonder what happened to all those people. I understand though, life happens, we forget the bigger picture and get pulled back into the 3D world.

After you are done making your quantum leap right after awakening, things settle down. You go back to processing everyday catalysts and living a "normal" life, except that now you can consciously ponder at all the little experiences you are having through this new higher perspective.

I have been absent for long swats of time from these forums. I came back last year because I started working more intensely on blue-ray. Since, among other things, that is the ray of sharing your Truth, a forum is a great place to do that work. Learning to share your Truth in a balanced and compassionate way. You can count on your mirrors, your other-selves, to very quickly and adamantly highlight any and all little imperfections you may still have in the way you share your Truth.

What is helpful to realize is that people expects you to be absolutely perfect. Which is of course impossible, so it is a certainty that the mirroring will take place. It all becomes a matter of expectations. If you expect others to have the unreasonable expectations that you should be perfect, then your own expectation is not unmet. This way you remain untriggered when others become angry at your imperfection and can more efficiently work with the catalysts of those interactions with others. It is when our expectations are not met that we become triggered/annoyed/angered.

(Now that I am a moderator, I expect that I'll be hanging around with more assiduity from now on)

Well, let's face it Patrick, there are 3rd density entities that are not aware of self thus making it impossible to be aware of something like spirit.
Just because we are living in the ray of self awareness does not make ot automatic, in fact, this is part of the work, right? Is to become.

...and some come to finish the work of the adept which includes intensive lower ray work and balancing. "healing" one might say and learning to understand the shadow and its role in the life of the entity but then expanding into love of the self and further expansion, love of all others.
