Damnation of the soul within the context of the Law of One

Most of this information doesn't resonate with my personal beliefs. I was raised Catholic but I find much of the old testament to be muddied with negative philosophy compared to the new testament. As Ra indicates:

26.7 Questioner: Which has more of the Law of One in it, the Old Testament or the New Testament?

Ra: I am Ra. Withdrawing from each of the collections of which you speak the portions having to do with the Law of One, the content is approximately equal. However, the so-called Old Testament has a larger amount of negatively influenced material, as you would call it.

I think the book of revelations suffers from this as there is much dire prophecy and material that can (and has) caused fear and separation.

I'm no bible scholar myself, but I would offer this counter argument I found which is more in line with my understanding:
