Thanks Meadow Foreigner,
I feel like that word sort of has lost meaning to me as I can never really tell which way it is being used.
Some use it to mean it as a clinical term, a coping mechanism from trauma where you "disassociate from reality" obviously not a happy time
Your appreciation is appreciated, Glow. You bring up good perspectives about this issue.
You see, the Mind/Body/Spirit Complex is but one. So, it is a good thing to consider physiology, neurology, medicine, and other "health" social consensus terms — in a 3D environment — are mostly subject to 3D understanding of things, which rely mostly on the physical, measurable effects of things.
However, it is good to keep in mind that any and every single thing that one perceives comes from the same place after all; so regardless of the distortion level, All Is One, and One Is All. This is one perspective of the issue.
Perhaps another more physical perspective of the term dissociation might have this negative connotation because it is believed that individuals in such a state of mind are less than able to function and perform socially their expected social roles, which in turn is believed to compromise the quality of a given social structure. This leads to social attempts to treat effects instead of causes; the physical is a consequence of the spiritual. An understandable, though way below optimal, social perspective about this term.

80.11 Questioner: Could I say, then, that implicit in the process of becoming adept is the possible partial polarization towards service to self because simply the adept becomes disassociated with many of his kind or like in the particular density which he inhabits?
Ra: I am Ra. This is likely to occur. The apparent happening is disassociation whether the truth is service to self and thus true disassociation from other-selves or service to others and thus true association with the heart of all other-selves and disassociation only from the illusory husks which prevent the adept from correctly perceiving the self and other-self as one.
80.12 Questioner: Then you say that this effect of disassociation on the service-to-others adept is a stumbling block or slowing process in reaching that goal which he aspires to? Is this correct?
Ra: I am Ra. This is incorrect. This disassociation from the miasma of illusion and misrepresentation of each and every distortion is a quite necessary portion of an adept’s path. It may be seen by others to be unfortunate.
From what I understand, Ra is saying the dissociation from the miasma of the illusion, so there's a much different context than mainstream, socially consensual belief.
Here's when the following spiritual pitfall may become dangerous:
If this dissociation from the miasma of the illusion comes along with a lack of κίνησις (Greek concept representing the idea of movement, motivation, motricity), then such process may be detrimental to the incarnational experience of the individual. After all, the 3D reality is the hardest one to incarnate on, and requires a constant struggle to be able to keep up with the ever-going flows of catalysts.
In other words, apathy isn't very useful in the 3D reality, for it is detrimental to the incarnational experience, to the processing of catalyst, to the service that one could provide to others, etc.
However, what if this state (which could be dissociative or not) is employed lovingly and wisely?
What if a given individual is able to make the best out of such detachment? For instance, let's say that someone benefits from this dissociation to create a piece of art, a socially valued labor; which can then be used to make the lives of other-Selves better. Isn't that a good use of such a catalyst?
In other words, it is important to be wary of peremptorities.

It probably is vital that word was brought up though as when I have had the linked experiences where Ii was out of my body and another(soul) spoke through me I had shame telling people about them as I knew it would be regarded as disassociation in a negative way.
As I posted in The Weed Thread, there actually isn't a thing such as "privacy" in the 3D illusion. Maybe beings and people talk with each other telepathically most of the time, whether it be on a subconscious level or not.

Thank you for playing your part, and sharing your light.
Absolutely. Since you had the courage to expose a blockage of yours, I'll expose a blockage of mine: guilt. It works in a similar way to shame, as it weighs on a given individual and usually restricts the flow, or Glow.
The light that comes through me is the same light that comes through you. Thank you too.
