Forum member kycahi was on the trip with Don and Carla and was present for the surgery. He gave a presentation with details at the 2012 Homecoming that is transcribed and available to read here: https://llresearch.org/homecomings/homec..._2012.aspx

Just follow the link under Talks, and it is in there as Lee B. "Requerdos de Mexico con Don y Carla."
