The first form I'm familiar with, a type of karezza, the second is a method you see in a variety of forms. Softcore, unless you're Elizabeth Bathory I suppose.
I also don't really think that's the sort of thing Ghandi was doing though. What he was doing seems more reflective of extreme asceticism than any kind of vampirism. I think it's more likely he sought to control his human nature by any means necessary.
