Great exposition of the Fool Tarot Key! We are using different images but we are coming to the same understanding. Infinite possibility / choice is a key concept for the Fool. Being 0, he represents the Limitless Light, macrocosmically, the potential for manifestation. Microcosmically, the Fool represents our true and real Self. That which precedes manifestation / incarnation.
He is pictured as a youth because the Limitless Light is always at the height of its power. (The Eternal Youth and the Ancient of Days are the same Being, in different aspects.)
The wallet or nap sack, indeed, represents the harvest of previous experience, or, in other words, memory.
