That is very similar to certain magical techniques used to tune in with different elements, makes sense. What's really interesting is that everyone is different in the way they might experience this sort of thing. You've definitely developed your talent.

I don't usually zoom in too much, my practice tends to revolve more around single point focus. As I breath it starts with seeing the movement around me, and then it expands outwards until I can both see and eventually feel the currents and flowing around the space. Outdoors it can get much bigger obviously.

At one point in the past I had noticed that there seems to be a particular movement more immediately around me and in particular seemed to be focused right in the center of my gaze at all times. Like it is always there I just don't always perceive it. As I looked in to it I started to see the currents as these three small spinning orbs with this background overlay, but I could tell there was more at the edges so the longer I focus eventually it expands from the center outwards in to all these spinning, interlocking spheres in a mandala geometric rotating pattern which is centered in my view.

Eventually it totally takes up my whole focus until it's all I can see, but I haven't gone past this point yet, mostly by choice because I don't think I've reached the time yet to cross that threshold. I think I am in those moments beginning to see my own projection of the illusion of reality and I'm not sure I'm prepared yet to face what's beyond that, again. I have sort of had my fill of the astral in this lifetime for the time being, lol.
