Doesn't being open & transparent invite attacks?

There is a difference between opening up to others and accepting everything from others. An entity that accepts everything, the martyr, is the pure and perfect expression of someone living in the heart, someone of the green ray. However, in order to serve, this configuration must be overcome, and this requires an opening of the blue ray. The entity then becomes a co-Creator. At this level, the entity is able to judge and deal with the blockages of others and the appropriate reaction / action is paved with wisdom. Beyond these levels are what I call the adept and the Master (the one who has become one with intelligent infinity).

At all of these levels, entities are open and transparent, and as you penetrate more and more energy levels, you are more able to deal appropriately with other selfs. To be open is then to understand the distortions of others and to be ready to serve in the most appropriate way possible in each experiential nexus.
