    Hi Everyone

I have discovered the Ra material recently, and I am just...speechless, to say the least. I have no idea whether I might be a wanderer or not, but for now I'm just trying to take in all the information about the higher self in the Ra teachings. Geesh!! I thought I was on my own, at least down here till I die and get some answers!...actually, somewhere deep inside I knew it wasn't true ;-) We were brought up to believe that reincarnation was something crazy people in the East believed. For us it was Heaven and Hell..."better be a good girl now, otherwise you burn!" When I was eighteen (I'm 34 now), I decided I'm done with Christianity. Since then it has been quite the roller coaster ride, and when the internet arrived, I stepped into quite a few traps. It's a jungle out there!

I have been a seeker for as long as I can remember, and I have come to the uncomfortable realization that I might be a little gullible sometimes. I felt a little better when I read this in the Ra teachings:

Carla: "This last point is an important one when talking about psychic research of any kind. Don has always said that one of my assets as a research associate is my great gullibility. Almost anyone can play a joke on me because I do not catch on quickly. I have a way of taking things as they come and accepting them at face value and only afterwards analyzing what has occurred. This gullibility is a vital factor in obtaining good results in paranormal research. A desire for proof will inevitably lead to null results and voided experiments. An open mind, one willing to be gullible, leads its possessor to a kind of subjective and personal certainty which does not equal proof as it cannot be systematically reproduced in others. However, this subjective knowing is a central part of the spiritual evolution to which Ra speaks so compellingly in this volume and which we have researched for many years now."

I trust people too easily, but I think I'd rather be the 'eternally hopeful' that I am, than a cynic.

As I read the Ra teachings, I realized "Oh my goodness! This is the truth!"

Anyway, glad to be here. One last thing, since I have never really done any meditation (cause I don't know how), can anyone point me in a good direction? As in instruction, or 'how to'.

I saw this book on Amazon: Wherever You Go, There You Are

    http://www.amazon.com/Wherever-You-There...009&sr=8-1

Looks good to me, unless someone knows of a better instructional book.

    Thanks
