As mentioned already, everyone has different awakening path. in terms of myself, the reason I need to know the truth is to "transform", transform negative to positive. If I don't know it, don't accept it, it's impossible for me to transform it.
Again, this kinds of experience/path applies to me, and certain people, but not all.
