I finally have an analogy.
If you ever have laid in bed far too long and in the same spot for hours? You might feel uncomfortable while you are sleeping but may not realize how uncomfortable because you are not consciously aware of the pain. However, once you awaken, your bones ache, crack, your back hurts and you have what I call a sleep hangover and you almost feel like you could go right back to sleep...most of us remain awake and as the day wears on you eventually begin to feel better and what I mean is....the longer you stay awake, your body responds to the awakened state. No one makes a big deal out of that delima because they say, "it will be better once I get busy and start moving around and awaken more fully." In other words, the longer you remain awake, the body reconfigures itself and then all is well once more. You may have to try various things to aid you in this process as we stretch when we awaken, you will find those aids in which to ease your discomfort. The seeking of the comfort will always aid this discomfort. Everyone here has been through this I am sure of it. And we've all been through the sleepless nights too. The 2 am, 3 am, 4 am and finally give up on sleeping and get up at 5 am. The weird dreams, the weird sensations, visions, audible sounds that come from nowhere, the twilight sleeping and voices that pop through.....Meditation, rest, good food, positive thoughts, positive habits are now your new friends to support you through this transition. That is all it is, a transition like sleeping and awakening.
