I think we channel Higher Self all the time. It is that highest and often the first thought that we have about a situation. I understand that your highest thought in that instant is coming from Higher self. I think that is where this expression come from 'let's take the high road here'...Then we get a little cautious and ignore it as impractical or too out there. And sometimes it might be impractical as higher self may not have an understandings of the 'Depths we Plumb'...We work most effectively when we operate as a team. The coach coaches and the players play, Coach is always there whispering in your head before and after every play. Higher self is always there as a life coach...Sometimes I know that something is going to go wrong due to intuition but I still go through due to the hardheadedness. But the higher self is always there with loving kindness...
I believe that the higher self can present itself in any shape or form. It chooses to present itself in a form that you are most likely to accept and listen to. My higher self appears as a long white haired wise old man dude with a long Moses stick. I have also felt it like a very tall being with huge feathers spreaded outwards right behind my back (almost merging with my physical body) just standing emanating love...
