I only hope that I have improved somewhat in my tact and my love/light.

You certainly have, in my view.

For perspective, in this lifetime--I think it's fair to say--you took on a pretty some awkward burdens to carry.  It's no wonder that it would take time to learn how to balance them gracefully.  Some of us like a challenge, eh?  (That is to say, I may be a bit less awkward now as compared to then, myself.)
