Firstly, it was called "revenge" more as a joke because these guys stopped me in the middle of my walk in 2014 and frisked me and demanded my information. Now, I had the last laugh by humiliating that officer and hopefully schooled him in citizen "rights".
Secondly...whenever a cop stops and asks ANYONE their name and that they just want to talk (CLASSIC COP LINE!!!) ...... only an idiot would believe that is true. That cop was looking for someone to charge...anyone he could catch. I just happened to be it. And you have the balls to tell me that this cop showed no ill will towards me??
Thirdly, any public servant who knowingly and willfully engages in deceptive behavior such as what occurred to me last night IMO....needs to be fired from the department and charged. Public Service is a very noble profession and we just simply cannot afford to have cops who engage in this behavior in our Republic.
But Elros...the underlying message and a lesson I wish to impart on you is this: Service to Others does NOT mean you get to be walked all over. Self respect is not evil or bad. Too much pacifism and this bending over nonsense is just as bad as tyranny itself.
Just imagine what COULD HAVE happened to me if I talked to that cop and gave him my info..."well you're under arrest...." for God knows whatever! But, I chose to exercise my power and I won.
I wasn't letting him have his way with me. I'm very proud of what I did. I've read and absorbed your points...now read and absorb mine.
I have to admit I don't see how having your name offers more ability to arrest you, like you said they probably checked your plates and should have learned it and yet you seem not in jail.
We live in different places, so clearly I don't know what sort of events happen where you live. I talked to cops at night without getting any problems from scenarios pretty much alike your own, sometimes I'd get told it's off hours for a park or an outdoor rink during winter. I think it happened once walking with a friend that we got asked where we were going and they were like alright and that was that. One time I could have got a criminal record and the cop let me off nicely. Also had a time my friend could have got a ticket for something about 2 hours after yelling to the cop car to f*** off from passing in front of the bar and they let him off just saying to not be a smartass next time. I think, like with any profession, cops are just people and so you can be unlucky and get one full of hatred and issues that'll take it out in you, just as one that'll save your ass or even just be serviable to you.
STO knows that hate begets hate and chooses not to entertain it. Doesn't mean to let yourself be stepped upon either.
