That's a really good area of consideration, however I recall Ra mentioning that fantasy is better than suppression. So I'd say don't force yourself to suppress or deny your thoughts/feelings. It's better to just let yourself be.
I think of it this way. Porn, is bad. Period, no real argument exists. Sex is a sacred act and basically all pornography debases that sacred nature. I'd argue that it'd be more healthy to fantasize about a friend than to open a video of a tiny petite girl getting skewered by a huge guy. In the fantasy no one was physically actually hurt, coerced or lied to, used, or legally obligated to be raped the moment they stopped enjoying the sex, nevermind the filming process which makes porn appear linear when it's actually filmed like a movie, in parts/scenes within each major scene.
Not to say your advice is wrong or anything, I'd just steer away from porn at all costs, it's not worth getting caught up in those energies while trying to avoid much less bad energies.
As long as our fantasies don't interfere with reality, fantasize away I say. Make love to that desirable person you know, just don't use them, remember the sacred importance of sex(uality), and let their thoughtform be loved rather than used.
I, personally, would prefer a friend fantasize about me or someone they know than indulge in the desensitization and nigh brainwashing of pornography. And on the plus side, if the other person is fantasizing about the other person, there's a chance for love to actually occur between them from mutual attraction being realized in through fantasy.
Or maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic thinking that.
