Philalethist...Welcome to Bring4th! I actually like your paraphrased statement and thought it was pretty dead on (minus the p word of course...lol). I got quite a chuckle out of it! Here's the thing though. I appreciate what you're trying to say...I just think you latched onto the wrong word to make your point. You place too much emphasis on "pride." I think that everyone on this forum that has an opinion, including you, has some degree of pride. Especially when we feel sure enough to tackle such a complex topic and expect that it be received well by the intended OP. The problem is, when we express our opinion and then get a reply that we weren't expecting, or that shows a better grasp of the issue than the respondent, then it sounds like a 'pride' issue. So, it's actually the 'pride' of the respondent that's at issue more so than the OP. At least I think so in my case. We're all adults here (I think) and if we feel confident enough to give an an opinion, we should be able to hear out the OPs reply without taking offense or labeling them as prideful, arrogant, or lacking integrity.
The rest of what you said regarding letting go of certain beliefs, I can agree with to some extent, but not entirely. Once again, we all have our core beliefs and unless something pretty profound comes across our eyes, we're probably going to cling to our beliefs. Like the old saying goes, "those who stand for nothing will fall for anything." So, you're arguing against human nature, because we all have opinions, and we all have questions that must be resolved in our minds. That's why most of us are on this forum. Where I will agree with you is in regards to 'the topic' of this forum, Ra and the Orion group, good vs evil, STO or STS, etc...Yes, I do feel much of it is a game that is played on us by higher density beings and I can suspend belief regarding the 'backstory' of the Ra Material. I address this pretty thoroughly in a discussion with Aion here, 'Is Ra Yaldabaoth, the Chief Archon?' None of this matters though when your in the throes of a "Dark Night", trust me on this!!!
Turtle...When you say "consistency of integrity," you're simply speaking to the the honesty and truthfulness or accuracy of my statements. In short, you don't believe me! Sounds a lot like Philalethist's position. Hey, more power to you! If you don't believe what I have shared, "I ain't mad at ya'." Everyone is entitled to their beliefs.
MangusKhan...your on the money!
