Man, I was going to let this lie and hope you learned a lesson from it all, but seriously... You need to quit writing checks to charities off this "account." The transactions are not going through - and you clearly know this. All you are doing is wasting the time and energy of the charities you're writing checks to. You may even be causing them to get in trouble with their bank, if they're making their own charges against the "donations" you're sending.
One way or another, you are probably COSTING them money!
Seriously, I get that you don't want to admit you got burned by this scam, but enough is enough. You're just going to cause problems for the very charities you say you want to help. Is that really what you want to see?
