OMNEC ONEC's book described how to meditate, and start soul journey. based on the book, it's safer/better than astral projection. Feel free to read to see if that fits you.
I believe there're different ways for different people. if you found one that you like, then it's the right way to you.

and I agree some other posts, many people need to meditate very long hours e.g. 5 hours to start their soul journey.
