Carl Jung I believe was also 'open' to exploring a particular Field. He could easily have gone insane, but he chose to write about his experiences. Though I haven't read them.
Imagine having your 3rd eye open all the time. I do feel mine buzzing, and sometimes it's a warm buzzing through my whole body. And it all feels really good.
