Date: 26 November, Saturday
Time: 10AM EST, 3PM London, 11PM Beijing, 2am (following day) Sydney
Location: Chatroom 2 - the Lounge

Theme: The Alchemist is card 14 in Ra's ordering of the Archetypes. It is also one of the 'body archetypes', and sits at the top of the sequence; being the Great Way of the Body.
What the heck does that even mean?
Probably too hard to get into detail here. Here's a quote to read, to inform ourselves from the Source, and not some human typist:
ooooh. That last line is nice.
"the athanor through which the alchemist manifests gold'.
Anyway, here's an image of an athanor.
it's like an oven/furnacy-thingy, to do things that is now in the domain of modern chemistry.
But that's getting away from things. We are interested in the metaphysical archetype, the energy which pervades this particular expression. We can tap into it, and experience it, without fully understanding it in reasoned consciousness. After all, it's only after you experience the taste of a 'lemon', that you can then compare and contrast it using the logical faculties. The experience always comes first; the analysis later.
Here are 2 images; one in old fashioned black and white; the newer with a dash of color.
although it looks like that dude has been dying himself in the athanor to get his skin to look so swish.
Namaste.

Quote:81.14 Questioner: And finally, the fourteenth, the Way of the Body is called the Alchemist because there is an infinity of time for the various bodies to operate within to learn the lessons necessary for evolution. Is this correct?
Ra: I am Ra. This is less than completely correct as the Great Way of the Body must be seen, as are all the archetypes of the body, to be a mirror image of the thrust of the activity of the mind.
The body is the creature of the mind and is the instrument of manifestation for the fruits of mind and spirit.
Therefore, you may see the body as providing the athanor through which the alchemist manifests gold.
