I had better check out this Marc Maron guy, because he's on this list as well! On the list I can recommend Invisibilia also. There was one amazing show about this South African boy who went into a "coma" at the age of 3 or 4? and stayed there for decades. His parents thought he was unaware all the time, but he was completely aware of everything around him. I have pondered that catalyst quite a bit, being imprisoned in his body like that, without being able to move, eyes open.
He says he pleaded mentally for his parents to kill him... The show is called Locked-In Man.
