That's very kind of you guys to be willing to let the previous owner(s) visit her anytime. I'm not so sure I'd have made the same offer, since to me they seem sketchy & incompetent.

I agree with Kile that it's awkward & unfortunate her previous home is so nearby...but I can't help but wonder how long she actually lived there - since she doesn't answer to the name Crystal. I find it strange & suspicious that she doesn't!

That makes me scratch my head, too. Sounds like bs, imo...(the part about her finally being able to catch him.) & makes me suspect the girl must be very young. & so does the fact that she didn't offer any information like the age, or the story behind the foot, or why they seemed to not care if she was eaten by bears. Hopefully you're given the opportunity to ask her questions.

btw, I'm glad you're leaning towards keeping the name Judy bc I like it much better. I went to school with a girl named Crystal that I found seriously irritating & when I hear that name I'm reminded of her. Not to mention, that judy blue eyes song is one of my favorites & has been for a long time.
