The Virtue of Pain
Pain spreads her wings under nightfall, in hast to dawn a new day;
Embrace her, bid her stay, then soon she flies away.
Embrace her, bid her stay, then soon she flies away.
Ride the winds of change upon her beckon call;
Listen, with no cry of complaint, nor her violence, seek to forestall.
For as I looked upon her visage, faint glint of tear drop did shine aglow;
Soon sound 'o waterfall echoed in Brahman's Cave, to salt my pillow .
The muffled gasp, the breath withheld, soon thought was vanquished too;
Then came the calm – dark, cold and numb, all torment to subdue.
Lost in voidness, I did languish, hoping for eternal rest;
Little did I promise self, her ravages to redress.
The storms were past, my soul was drenched, to wash away each sin;
And as I awoke to Solar blast, His light exposed my grin.
Then pondered long, and deep did plow, to furrow field's brow;
As I cast bright rainbow light upon the eternal now.
So tender walk the winding path of pain;
Until one spiral spins in sync the heart to brain.
In such instance, instantly all is known;
And where once weed was sown, now lotus bloom is shown.
