I've been growing mine since October 2012. It's kinda half-fro, dreading down past my shoulders.
I notice a difference depending on how I wear it.
Same again with my beard. It's about 6 months long n it aids communication.

I'm 35 and have had short hair for all my life bar two occasions.
The only other time was when I was 21-22. During this period I had a vision.
