No, I am pretty clearly aware that this bothers me because it seems like a slap in the face to all those who really work hard to share openly and honestly, but that it's 'not good enough'?

Perhaps it's a manifestation of a greater feeling of not being good enough being reflected back. This is actually reflected in my work place right now too where I feel no matter how hard I work it will never be good enough and a constant feeling of having to 'prove' that I'm good enough or valuable enough.

That's how this situation feels.
