That's a bit the quantum implication of existence. If you're fighting off evil, you are creating a need for this evil in order to have something to fight against.
Althought, we all have our own bias and conditions which our purpose in existence is to explore, undistort and distill the love/light from.
Not doing anything is what I'm doing. It has not much impact on reality but is called the "sinkhole of indifference" as it does not help personnal growth nor other-selves growth so much. It's a still and unchanging approach to your own personal dream of reality. It is a good way to rest though.
