You can suddenly become allergic to anything...
&, of all things, I suddenly became allergic to marijuana. & I think I loved it more than anyone. It's sad but at the same time I think it's highly amusing.
I was a heavy user for about 7yrs straight. Graham Hancock thinks that the reason he had to abstain for 3yrs recently was bc he abused it - by using it daily.
Apparently, I abused "the green b!tch" (that's what Hancock calls mj) even worse than he did bc now I must abstain from it for the rest of this lifetime.
My new year's resolution this year was to quit using it until it becomes legal where I'm at. However, I broke my resolution on 1/25 bc I wanted edibles for my bday.
The edibles weren't that great to me. They made 10mins feel like an hour & were just way too powerful.
I assumed my recent severe cut-down in usage had caused the adverse & intense reaction...or either the fact I ate the stuff instead of smoking it. It didn't cross my mind that I could have an allergy developing.
The fact that the edibles made my right eyelid swell slightly didn't set off any alarms, either, for some reason.
Since it was supposed to be my bd present & I didn't even really enjoy it I decided to purchase a bag & smoke it to see if that would be better.
The same thing happened. The high was too intense for me to enjoy it much & again it made my eyelid look a little puffed. I was like wth is this...
My new rule was that I definitely wouldn't purchase it again til it's legal but if someone offered me some I would take it. I kept getting offered some about once a month & every time it would leave me feeling not-so-hot & like I was about to pass out or die.
so this month I said to people that the next time someone offers it idk if I'll take it. I was to the point where I was ready give up on the chance of it making me feel nothing but good again.
A day after I told someone that I didn't know if I'd take the next offer...it was offered to me. & I took it...
& I had a full-blown allergic reaction.
My eyelid got extremely swollen, my throat got swollen to where I could hardly breathe/swallow, my nose got completely stuffed, I broke out in hives, I couldn't get comfortable, I kept feeling on the verge of dying or going into a coma or passing out.
I'll never be able to consume the stuff again, for fear of that happening again.
