I've been curious about this statement for a while.

It's the illusion being promoted as real, or "that which is not" being promoted as "that which is". It varies from culture to culture as to the detail of fairness and ugliness. Tits and ass are the western assertions of beauty. Light emanating from the moon at night is a good example in pointing out why the "physical" appearance is illusory, where seeking is concerned.
