I think quite the contrary, I think catalyst only becomes useful once you recognize it. Taking a step back and realizing that it's a play on a stage can really help with perspective when we get too deep. I know exactly what you mean though - sometimes I struggle with knowing that I'm being a much better "3D-er" if I'm all in, so to speak. I think of it like training to run a marathon - when you begin, you can only run for short spurts before running out of breath. But as you condition yourself the lengths of time you can run get longer and longer, until you commit to running the whole 26 miles. In the thick of it, one gets goes through ups and downs, including excruciating pain and exhaustion. But once it's over, the relief! The achievement! And then next time, it's much easier.
