It makes me wonder just where this energy is going.

Alot of practitioners state the sexual energy is apparently quite potent for manifestation, so perhaps there's a connection there? I'm thinking It may be 'taken' to be utilised for your benefit on some other level with your permission prior.

From what I understand It is also advised refraining from thinking about certain individuals when orgasming to prevent non-beneficial cords being formed. On the other hand it's useful to think about desired outcomes at the time.

I have only glanced, and from what I can tell Mantak is an awesome source of info about the energy bodies. I grabbed all of the books, but have not gotten around to reading.

If you look around you will find a manual method of stopping ejaculation (no not painful), and it does have some effect on the body if you can consciously maneuver that recovery to certain areas.
