The teach/learn principle is automatic. There is also a healing action that can be automated through certain wanderers, which coincides with this "attraction" by/to those in need. You even see this in the wildlife kingdom when an injured animal approaches a human, then returns to its feral state once healed.
I myself notice that I am maneuvered to face certain individuals, where I then offer my services. Most often these individuals turn down offers of healing, in which they then learn an unneeded lesson. This is very obvious with cancer patients who scoff at any form of healing beyond prescribed toxin.
I have recently been pushed in front of a wanderer that was in the Iraq war, (which was an odd finding for me).
