what are the ways in which we avoid catalyst?

Is the fear before some animals/insects can be considered as the programmed catalyst? How to determine the real reasons of why it has appeared and what here should be concluded?

I don't think catalyst exists without experience. We have genetic, social and personal dispositions for interpreting experience. And that is certainly part of our programming to presumably create an as efficient as possible opportunity for balancing that which needs to be addressed. There is nothing really that demands our attention in an emotional manner which arises from a balanced viewpoint.
