That's pretty positive. It says a lot because I'm investing in myself and my life, which is a far cry from wanting to die as I felt before.
Good luck buddy!! I am jealous - have wanted LASIK for many years myself, but bills always somehow seem to smash that dream for me. I've had a couple friends in the past few years say how much better they've gotten at the procedure and that its basically just half a day of easy recovery. Let us know how it went :-)
I'm 20/15 in both eyes. Just had a followup exam today. Went to the DMV to have my glasses restriction taken off my license.
The thing about LASIK is it smells like burning hair when the laser is burning your cornea. When they were cutting the flap at first, there was this suction device that was somewhat uncomfortable. It made the eye unmovable for about 20 seconds or so while they were cutting the flap. I didn't feel any of it because they used lots of numbing eye drops.
The 2-5 hours after I took a nap so I wouldn't feel the stinging from the healing as the numbing drops wore off.
Now I just have to use eyedrops every hour, and an anti-biotic and anti-inflammatory drops 4 times a day for the rest of the week.
I got a new portable air conditioning unit that I'm happy about. Our other one went out, and it was 95 today. A friend helped install it. So I'm grateful for that. It's still working to cool down the room. A lot of heat in here.
