Yes, bugs have been coming closer to me as well, in fact speaking of moths, I came across a dead one yesterday in a bag of greens.
Thank goodness I was making dog food with that bag, if I had just poured it as the last ingredient into my own meal I might have started crying!
When I'm outside and meditating, the bugs land on me quite a bit, often I'm assuming to drink from my sweat, so of course in true STO spirit I try to allow them for as long as I can.
We get a lot of interesting larger bugs, like moths and butterflies and dragonflies, who really favor drinking off the big, thick cauliflower leaves that are right outside my window. We also get really excited when we see bees, because we've only seen maybe 8-10 this year. Maybe 4-5 monarchs. The milkweed is about to bloom so maybe more monarchs will start to arrive.
The first bee I saw actually came while I was weeding the garden after we first planted. He landed on the row I was attending to and looked up at me. I was overcome with extreme sadness. I sent him as much love as possible and he crawled into a little nook in the dirt. I really felt a bond with it and I sat with him for a while.
