Expressing, embracing and accepting our ability to express imbalances and emotions is an essential part of the balancing process as well.
One does not become balanced by repressing imbalances. One cannot love by force. There is a reason to react and dislike if that is your nature. Universal love entails acceptance of all, even your current-self.
One cannot efficiently even a scale by punching and pulling at each end but rather letting things gradual settle by nature. Of course the former path will inevitably lead to balance... it will just take a very long time.
It's been said that when one is truly enlightened, nothing changes at all.
