I don't know if I'm too familiar of with kundalini energy definitions.
But let me take two excerpts from wikipedia on Kundalini:
"Through meditation, and various esoteric practices, such as Kundalini Yoga, Sahaja Yoga, and Kriya Yoga, the kundalini is awakened, and can rise up from the muladhara chakra through the central nadi, called sushumna, inside or alongside the spine and reaches the top of the head. The progress of kundalini through the different chakras leads to different levels of awakening and mystical experience, until the kundalini finally reaches the top of the head, Sahasrara or crown chakra, producing an extremely profound mystical experience."
"Kundalini is considered an interaction of the subtle body along with chakra energy centers and nadis channels. Each chakra is said to contain special characteristics [30] and with proper training, moving kundalini energy through these chakras can help express or open these characteristics."

If that is what you refer to, I have experienced it.
During my meditations, I can focus energy on my an energy center/chakra and feel sensation there. During my meditations, sometimes I feel energy on an energy center/chakra without any focus on an area. The energy doesn't always feel the same, but usually tingling, electricity, or a slow moving, thick, hot or cold liquid describe it best. It usually centered around a primary energy center, or a secondary one.
I have noticed that the sensations that occur most often, without or without focus, are sensations along the front of my energy centers, although occasionally I feel sensation in the middle of the center, as in middle of the body when seen from front to back, that is deep inside my body.
Very rarely do I feel energy at the back of my energy centers. I have been told that the back of my energy centers are a little closed, unlike my front.
I do know that I can focus on the back and intensify the energy there.
To make a long story short, I have noticed that the energy in the back of these centers is much more orgasmic than energy in the front. Other than that feeling, I have not noticed substantial differences in the energy flow along the front, middle or back of my body. However, I am still exploring energy flow along the back of my body, and have probably done it maybe less than ten times, whereas I have focused and felt energy going from my root to crown and crown to root from the front or middle of my body over fifty maybe even a hundred times. As a important side note, the key to getting my energy centers unlocked was not a mechanical focus of generating energy in a center - manual focus was only useful in temporary amplification of energy - it was learning and internalizing the concepts that allowed that energy center to be expressed freely. That being said, the strength of the attention amplification was good feedback as to whether an energy center was blocked with distorted beliefs. At first, when I started this a year and half ago, I could not feel any energy in my throat or sacral even with focus and attention until I spent a few weeks dedicated to learning the beliefs behind those chakras.
It is funny that I noticed this thread today, because just today I re-remembered that I always meant to come back and focus on the back of my energy centers. I suppose this could be considered another synchronicity. In any case this is definitely an area of interest. Keep us updated
