I agree, though this kind of thoughtform is a bit different (for obvious reasons, and also some not so obvious). A lot of effort and concentration goes into the creation of a tulpa. I can see how that would be the gradual accumulation of spiritual mass eventuating in the completion of an independent entity. However a tulpa, once developed enough, can create its own tulpas, and if the creator is willing, take possession of the creators body. This is not your average thoughtform.
Most people today who create tulpas are STS orientated however a lot of these people's tulpa's seem to be STO, i'm not sure if the subconscious is trying to achieve psychic equilibrium or if tulpa's are just generally in awe of their creator and want to serve.
I'm thinking of creating a few, admittedly for self serving reasons of being able to access all of my memory at will (assuming our wills are in harmony) also though i see it as an excellent way of learning about oneself and by extension the infinite creator.
