I can really understand your frustration with people when you were younger. I used to hate people and think they were stupid until I had a similar revelation. And also the secret of joy, good stuff.
I've also never felt homesick. I've wandered this incarnation and my home was wherever I was at the time. It's a great perspective to have. I think as wanderer's we chose to wander for fun reasons too, (you know.. see the universe..) as well as to help this planet.
